After chatting to a few local tree guys / arborists, I ended out going to Local Tree and Justin. Justin was one of the only people that seemed to care for the trees health, along with providing an aesthetic trim. The crew trimmed the tree over 2 days, mainly due to wind and extra care taken when removing larger branches over a neighbors house.

Francisco and his team are amazing tree removal experts. They are hard working, professional, punctual and efficient. Their pricing is also probably the best quote you'll get although they don't do stump removal. To have insurance over your project you'll contract with Encinal Tree Service but Francisco will.run the project. If you go without insurance you may be able to sub contract him directly for a discount. He came almost immediately upon calling for an estimate, with his daughter, he is a hard working family man. They did a massive pruning of a 80-100ft eucalyptus as well as removal of 2 acacias and crown pruning of a loquat. I'd hire him again for sure.

Quality Tree Care was great to work with. We had a complicated job - (for context - someone from another company came to give us a quote and practically refused to do it once he saw the scope). We had a massive pine tree in our sloped backyard. We live on a steep hill (many work trucks can’t make it up or figure out how to turn around). And - to top it off - there’s a deck right below the pine tree - so it felt like there was very little room for error. The team did an amazing job. They spent three days removing our giant tree - hauling it up our massive hill. They did exactly what we asked and provided us with ample mulch for our yard. The deck wasn’t damaged in the process. My only challenge was getting on their schedule - clearly they’re busy and in demand - but it took a bit of follow up to get them to lock in on a date. We would absolutely use them again for our tree work!

High winds blew over a neighbors tree onto our house. Within 40 minutes of sending out requests on yelp to three companies, I received a message from Paul at Better City Tree Services. Note this is a Sunday evening during rain and high winds. He arrived at my residence the very next morning and his crew started on the removal that afternoon. Very fair price and he did everything to satisfy all of our concerns and needs. He himself went onto the roof before the crew left to make sure that we knew the extent of the damage to his best ability. Paul put aside work he had scheduled to help us out when we needed him. I wouldn't hesitate hiring him and his crew for a second.
