I had a pleasant experience today. They removed 6 hazardous trees from my property in one day. Everyone was pleasant and professional. I will happily do business with them again. All work was done safely and quickly. They even cleaned up the yard better that they received it.

I had to have some tree work done in response to a home insurance inspection. Southwest Fire Defense was able to get the work done within the short timeframe needed. The work done by the crew was excellent in quality and priced reasonably. Kathy was extremely responsive and excellent to work with. I have had other tree work done in Los Alamos in the past that was far inferior in quality and more expensive. Southwest Fire Defense will be my first call from now on. I highly recommend this company!

It seems like ALL landscaping-oriented businesses have been extremely busy this past year. While it took longer than I'd have preferred to get an actual quote, Southwest always took the time to respond. And once we accepted the quote, their service was top-notch. The day before our tree removal, they stopped by for one last walk around--just an example of their thoroughness and our tree's trickiness. Our backyard can't be accessed by heavy equipment and the tree was large, dead, crispy, and surrounded by houses, walls, and retaining walls that it dwarfed. Southwest neatly cut and stacked all the firewood-sized logs for us and hauled the rest off to be chipped. They left the area as immaculate as possible when sawdust is involved, followed my instructions and left the large trunk intact for an eventual bench, and added a bonus--cutting a "seat" out of the tree's "V." From our conversations about the bench, they could tell that would appeal to me, so they did it. That personal touch capped a wonderful experience!
