Jim is an exceptional arborist and tree care specialist. He’s very knowledgeable, passionate about his work and dedicated to his clients. He‘s also a hell of a guy and an absolute pleasure to do business with. Last summer, my two crape myrtles were almost destroyed by the dreaded barkscale. The bark was completely covered in black mold; the leaves were dying off; and not a single flower bloomed. I thought they were a lost cause until Jim came to the rescue. One year and a couple treatments later, they are totally revived and absolutely thriving. Jim kept in touch between treatments and even stopped by a couple times to see how the crapes were doing. Truly exceptional dedication and client service. Most of all, Jim is a really good guy and a pleasure to be around. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

We live in the Richmond area, and our friends use Jim May for help with their trees and shrubs. They recommended him, and we got in touch to see if he could come by and take a look at bark scale infestation on our mature crepe myrtle trees. Jim put us on the schedule for his next trip to our area and came by yesterday. He has a wealth of knowledge about this problem and a successful treatment protocol. He completed an initial treatment on nine crepe myrtles (soil injection and bark spray), and he will be inspecting for a follow-up treatment in about two months.
