RPR Tree Service & Land Clearing Reviews
Collin Lockfield
Had to get some tree work done fairly quickly around the holidays. I contacted RPR and spoke with Ray. He came out the next day and gave me a quote. The week right after New Year’s he and his crew came out that first week and completed the job in roughly 4 hours. His brother in law and crew were very professional and did a superb job with complete clean up. Thanks greatly for the quick turnaround and superb service.

Received my quote from RPR on September 27, 2018 for $2,500, had great communication with Raven and Ray. Job was put on hold while RPR assisted with the storm cleanup in Florida, which was fine and understandable. Job was set back up for the weekend of February 2-4 of 2019, on the morning of February 4th, Ray phoned in, informing me he would not be able to complete the job unless I paid an additional $1,500. Not only did I wait 4 months for RPR, but on the day of my work order, Mr Ray wanted to price gouge me an additional 60% to finish the job. Totally unacceptable and felt like a punch to the gut, I feel taken advantage of and now I must start this entire ordeal over again. How unfortunate and dishonorable. See included pic of my original work order, my address and other info have been blurred out. Raven contacted me afterward to apologize and try to further explain the situation, I informed RPR I would no longer be using their services.

Called for estimate. Never showed up and never called back. Horrible way to do business

Recommendations before choosing a Tree Removal Service
- Check the company’s reputation and customer reviews: Look for tree removal companies with positive reviews and a solid reputation. Reading real customer experiences will help you understand the quality of their work, professionalism, and reliability.
- Confirm what is included in the tree removal service: Make sure you clearly understand what is included in the price, such as stump removal, debris cleanup, limb chipping, and any additional fees for large or hazardous trees.
- Ask about safety measures and equipment: Find out what safety protocols and equipment are used, including protective gear, rigging systems, and whether crew members are trained in industry-standard safety practices.
- Verify licensing, insurance, and coverage options: Ensure the company is properly licensed to operate in your state and carries both liability insurance and workers’ compensation to protect you in case of property damage or on-site injuries.
- Request a written quote and service agreement: Always ask for a written quote and review the service agreement carefully so you are clear about pricing, the scope of work, and cancellation or rescheduling policies.
