Quartz Stump Grinding Reviews

On behalf of my neighbor Kristi my wife and myself we highly recommend Chris and Quartz Stump Grinding. I never thought we’d get so excited at the sight of four dirt covered holes, but here we are. The stumps look like they were never there. He brought dirt in and it looks great. He answered the phone quickly, gave us our quote the next day and from first phone call to paid was 6 days. He was able to completely remove two stumps very close to a fence and deck. Finally, he’s very communicative and reasonably priced. His 5 star rating is obviously hard earned.

Did an excellent job Could not recommend them enough. Dropped the tree in the perfect spot. Will definitely be using them in the future.

Needed a massive silver maple dropped that was half rotten and extending over my garage as well as the neighbors. They came out the same day I contacted them and I received a quote which couldn’t have been beat by anyone else in the area. They came out less than a week later with the bucket truck and in less than two hours had the tree on the ground with hardly even a stick falling on the structures. Very professional and very safe with all the right equipment. Couldn’t recommend enough

Recommendations before hiring Service
Before hiring a tree removal company in Marathon, we recommend reviewing a few important tips. While our directory includes businesses from across the United States, we cannot personally verify each one. For your safety and peace of mind, please consider the following suggestions before allowing anyone to work on your property:
Check the Company's Experience and References
Do your homework before hiring. Look up the company’s reviews on platforms like Google, Yelp, or Facebook. Ask for before-and-after photos of recent tree removal projects. A reliable company should have a strong history of safe and successful removals. Don’t hesitate to ask how long they’ve been in business or whether they’ve handled trees similar in size and location to yours.
Confirm What Services Are Included
Tree removal can involve much more than just cutting down a tree. Ask if their service includes debris removal, stump grinding, or root clearing. Some companies may leave the stump or charge extra for cleanup. A good provider will clearly explain what is included and what isn’t—so there are no surprises.
Ask About Safety Procedures and Equipment
Tree removal is dangerous work, especially near structures or power lines. Make sure the company uses professional-grade equipment, follows safety protocols, and employs trained crews. If the job requires special access or climbing, ask how they ensure the safety of your property and their workers.
Verify They’re Properly Licensed and Insured
Only hire companies that carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation. This protects you in case of property damage or accidents during the job. Some states or counties also require tree service licensing—check that the company meets all legal requirements in your area.
Request a Written Quote
Before starting the job, get a detailed written estimate. It should clearly outline the scope of work, timeline, total cost, equipment used, and any additional services or potential fees. Having everything in writing helps prevent misunderstandings and gives you a point of reference if issues arise.
