Tim's Tree Services Reviews
vickie hamilton
I don't like leaving bad reviews for anyone but this was ridicules.. We had a verbal agreement to top out a large spruce tree in my backyard that I was worried about breaking off and taking out communication lines. Tim talked me into cutting down a maple also in the back yard for more money which I agreed to. Take the top off and two other large limbs growing upwards on the spruce was the plan. I had to leave for the evening before they were done on a Friday night so that he didn't have to come back for payment over the weekend. So out of the goodness of my heart so he could pay his workers I paid him in full. When I got home not only was the two extra limbs of the spruce not cut down, the maple looked like a 16 foot totem pole with no limbs sticking up. After multiple promises he would be back when I could get hold of him and he would answer the phone I've had enough. I would recommend getting everything in writing and don't pay in cash. Can't recommend him for any tree service !!!

Hired to take down large maple in front of house. Would not show up when he said he would. Tore up other parts of yard that were not close to tree. Paid extra for stump removal which he said included shavings and saw dust removal but didn't do until more money given (my fault) and have been waiting since Oct to have job finished. Many attempts to have money returned with no results. Would never use him again or recommend to others. Cheapest bid but you get what you pay for.

Horrible to communicate with. Needed them to do more work than what they did. Never provided an invoice for insurance. Left the job half done.

Recommendations before choosing a Tree Removal Service
- Check the company’s reputation and customer reviews: Look for tree removal companies with positive reviews and a solid reputation. Reading real customer experiences will help you understand the quality of their work, professionalism, and reliability.
- Confirm what is included in the tree removal service: Make sure you clearly understand what is included in the price, such as stump removal, debris cleanup, limb chipping, and any additional fees for large or hazardous trees.
- Ask about safety measures and equipment: Find out what safety protocols and equipment are used, including protective gear, rigging systems, and whether crew members are trained in industry-standard safety practices.
- Verify licensing, insurance, and coverage options: Ensure the company is properly licensed to operate in your state and carries both liability insurance and workers’ compensation to protect you in case of property damage or on-site injuries.
- Request a written quote and service agreement: Always ask for a written quote and review the service agreement carefully so you are clear about pricing, the scope of work, and cancellation or rescheduling policies.
