EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with this business. We contracted for the installation of a French drain. It has caved in on one end. We contracted for topsoil to be brought in and the yard leveled. It now has trenches running through it. Instead of topsoil, we actually received sand. When questioned about it, the contractor called it “Oklahoma Topsoil.” The first red flag should have been when this contractor required 1/2 payment in the morning of the same day he finished service—two checks on the same day! The second red flag is when he writes “satisfied” on the final bill, then has customer sign it when making final payment. I signed it because everything “appeared” to be okay, and assuming I was dealing with a “professional” who knew what he was doing, believed that the existing problems had been corrected. Now, when contacted about the new problems as a result of his work, this contractor refuses to return to even look at what has happened. It is “too far” — about 45 minutes (his words), and he now has a signature on his statement where he wrote satisfied, so he thinks he is finished. We paid several thousand dollars for this service, and have nothing to show for it except new problems. This contractor says he strives for 100% satisfaction, but needs to learn that follow-up is often required for jobs of this nature to achieve customer satisfaction. To accept payment, then refuse to return at the first indication of a problem, is the highest degree of unprofessionalism. We have now had to hire a new, competent contractor to come in and correct his work. We were told they had never seen anyone who had been “screwed” so badly in both cost and service as we had been. We have never dealt with a contractor who would not stand behind his work and make things right with the customer until now. I left a similar review on this contractor’s business Facebook page, only to discover that it, along with all his reviews, had been deleted several days later. Apparently he only accepts good reviews and doesn’t want to accept a negative review which might bring to light the true nature of his business practices.
