AX Tree Services LLC Reviews

I'd highly recommend Ax Tree Services to anyone looking for tree work. We recently worked with Ax Tree Services to remove two extremely large rotting trees from our yard. Elias was very responsive and helpful - he walked us through our options, provided us with a competitive quote, and scheduled the job quickly. The crew was efficient and processional, completing the entire project in one day. The job was also complex - with heavy branches hanging over power lines and several homes on the street. Overall, Ax Tree Services provided great service from start to finish. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for tree work.

2023 Review: This is the second time I am writing about Ax Tree Services. I first used them in 2021 to remove a leaning pine tree and they were superb. Then, when we had the July 29, 2023 wind and rainstorm that felled a ton of trees in the DMV, I called them again when one of my trees was damaged. And Ax delivered again. If you want top quality, rare professionalism, and very reasonable prices friendly to your checkbook, Ax, its owner Elias, and crew chief Jose are the ones to call. All of the same qualities I left in my 2021 review were repeated in 2023, and they did an outstanding job pruning/thinning out/shaping my damaged maple. The fact that Jose responded to my feedback, and acted upon it professionally, really stands this company out and above the pack of other tree service companies in the area. So I will use them again and again. (In the five photos I've left, first two are from 2021; 3rd-5th are from 2023, with 3rd the before photo and 4th and 5th the after photos.) 2021 Review: As other reviews have stated, Elias and his team were very professional, from their response time responding to my phone call, providing a competitive quote, and getting a crew out to remove a dying, leaning tree as quickly as possible. The price was very reasonable, the work was very solid, and I would gladly use their services again.

On 8/28/24 I spent the day with Ax Tree Service in Arlington, as they carefully removed two 80 foot tall willow oak trees. The owners had decided to remove the trees due to their size and age. The diameters of the trees 57" and 46" in diameter. These were huge, live trees surrounded by homes amd electrial lines. I observed the Ax Tree Service crew remove the upper branches--some weighing a ton or more--carefully by crane. Two tree climbers essentially spent the entire day roped for safety in the tree canopies. I was impressed with the skill and work ethic of all of rhe workers (not to mention the contracted crane operator). My role was to remove some 40,000 pounds of tree trunks--the four pieces which comprised the largest sections of each tree--which the homeowner wanted to see repurposed as furniture. At all events, after spending the entire day watching this company perform, it is easy.to recommend them.

Recommendations before choosing a Tree Removal Service
- Check the company’s reputation and customer reviews: Look for tree removal companies with positive reviews and a solid reputation. Reading real customer experiences will help you understand the quality of their work, professionalism, and reliability.
- Confirm what is included in the tree removal service: Make sure you clearly understand what is included in the price, such as stump removal, debris cleanup, limb chipping, and any additional fees for large or hazardous trees.
- Ask about safety measures and equipment: Find out what safety protocols and equipment are used, including protective gear, rigging systems, and whether crew members are trained in industry-standard safety practices.
- Verify licensing, insurance, and coverage options: Ensure the company is properly licensed to operate in your state and carries both liability insurance and workers’ compensation to protect you in case of property damage or on-site injuries.
- Request a written quote and service agreement: Always ask for a written quote and review the service agreement carefully so you are clear about pricing, the scope of work, and cancellation or rescheduling policies.
