I picked this motel to stay at because it had such awesome reviews. I have to say after reading such glowing reviews and staying there I was disappointed. First of all, the good stuff. Rachael was awesome to work with and friendly. Secondly, the room was very clean. Now for the not so good stuff. The price-I called direct thinking it might be cheaper but it was the same as I saw online. The room price was $166.50 for a king what they call bungalow. With fees it came to $195.38. This was not a $166 or $200 room with fees. It shouldn't have been more than $125 at tops. There was broken flooring in the bathroom. They tried to cover it up with a bath mat but every time I stepped on it I sank. There was only a sink in the bathroom. No counter space. I had to use the window seal, shelf above the toilet, and the top of the toilet itself to store or put out my things. There is no ice on the property and no garbage cans outside the rooms to throw away stuff from your vehicles. This property was not quiet. It's on a very busy road. I heard a chain saw going off early in the evening and a lot of traffic. If there has been accurate reviews I would not have stayed there for that price. I should have stayed at the Super 8 and saved at least $50.

We came for a month, and are staying all summer. Large shade trees. Located on the beautiful Salmon River. Well - maintained. Superb service from owners and staff. Quality amenities in the town of Salmon. Wildlife watching. An island where your dog can run free. Friendly service. Good rates and value. We have traveled the West for years and this is the best, for retirees and families (and pets), in our opinion. There is still time to enjoy this beautiful place in 2024, or plan for 2025. We will be back! Janet & Patrick
Colton at McCall Tree provided us a quote and was able to remove the tree the next day. He carefully removed the limbs which were very closed to our deck. I highly recommend McCall Tree! Professional and responsive.
We had a great experience using Casey for our stump grinding. He got the job done quick and was great to work with! Would highly recommend his business!
My wife and I were VERY IMPRESSED with the pro's at Shippy's. It is rare these day's to be able to witness skilled tradesmen, excel at their trade craft, the pro's at Shippy's were true representative's to professionalism, and work ethic. It's rare these day's to fine contractors who do what they say they will do and when they say they will do it.
